Donegal Tweed Lampshades

Irish Hide Designs are delighted to be working with the designer, Siobhán Killian. Siobhan's family originally came from County Clare and her passion is making unique lampshades using Donegal tweed.

Having visited the woollen mills in Donegal and seeing the colours of the wool and hearing the sounds of the looms Siobhan had a ‘lightbulb’ moment imagining how lampshades would look stunning made from Donegal tweed.

Donegal tweed is steeped in the heritage of Ireland. The fabric has been woven in the area for generations and is synonymous with a quality Irish product. The colours depict the wild rugged landscape of Donegal. The fabrics are named after places that hold both happy and personal memories for Siobhan.

'Olann Home' offers traditional yet contemporary lighting for your home. This lighting is about creating the warmth and the 'fáilte romhat' which make a house a home.

We hope you will love these beautiful handmade shades as much as Siobhan loved making them.

"Purchased a Shearling Jacket from Derek. As soon as it arrived I had to give him a call - the quality is out-of-this-world. Warm, soft and clearly very durable."
